A father’s love for their child can take many forms. He even wore a pink ballet tutu for an adorable photoshoot. A bearded and tattooed dad and his one-year-old daughter posed in matching tutus for a sweet photoshoot – though the father ᴊᴏᴋɪɴɢʟʏ admitted that he could use the images to ᴇᴍʙᴀʀʀᴀss the little girl when she gets ᴏʟᴅᴇʀ. Casey Fields from Kilgore, Texas, and his daughter, Lyla, posed in handmade pink tutus for a fun photoshoot with Jenn Floyd Photography.

Casey Fields and his 1-year-old daughter, Lyla, suited up in matching tutus to have professional portraits shot by Texas photographer Jenn Floyd. Lyla’s mother hand made the pink tulle skirts for the occasion, and Lyla wore a flower crown while her father accessorized with a snapback hat. According to photographer Jenn, Casey was a tad nervous about being in a tutu when the photoshoot started. Fortunately, he quickly got over it. “Casey was nervous at first because of the tutu, but he quickly loosened up and fell into his role as an involved father, which comes very naturally to him.”

Fields said he would describe himself as more of a ‘manly man’. But he decided to do the fun shoot to share in this moment with his daughter. He said: “When she gets ᴏʟᴅᴇʀ it can be something we can ʟᴀᴜɢʜ at and I can use it as ʙʟᴀᴄᴋᴍᴀɪʟ to ᴇᴍʙᴀʀʀᴀss her or something.” During the shoot, Lyla paired her pink tutu with an adorable flowered crown while her father matched the skirt with a baseball cap turned backwards. Fields, who has a beard and tattoos down his right arm, was also pictured painting his daughter’s toenails and coloring in coloring books with her. Fields manicured his daughter’s nails, drew in a Minnie Mouse coloring book, and gave her loving cuddles as the camera clicked away. He said: “I’ve never worn a tutu or done anything like that before. I was definitely willing to do it for Lyla, though. When she gets ᴏʟᴅᴇʀ it can be something we can ʟᴀᴜɢʜ at and I can use it as ʙʟᴀᴄᴋᴍᴀɪʟ to ᴇᴍʙᴀʀʀᴀss her or something.”

Fields said the shoot was a pro bono project offered by Floyd, who wanted to photograph family members to build her portfolio. The adorable photos were shared on Facebook by the photographer, Jenn Floyd, and the post has now had 20,000 likes and a huge 53,000 shares. Fields said: “It ʙʟᴇᴡ ᴜᴘ within two days. I’ll do anything for my daughter. It’s ᴄʀᴀᴢʏ how fast she has grown. She’s just a funny child and I love her to ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ.” She wrote in the caption: “Cutest. Session. Ever. I can’t get over how perfect these turned out. Casey Fields showed his most manly side-the side that isn’t afraid to do whatever it takes to make memories with his daughter.Imagine 20 years from now…they will both cherish these!”

Fields confessed that he was sʜᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ by how much attention his photoshoot with his daughter received from strangers. He said: “It ʙʟᴇᴡ ᴜᴘ within two days. I’ll do anything for my daughter. It’s ᴄʀᴀᴢʏ how fast she has grown. She’s just a funny child and I love her to ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ. Some commenters thought they could see fathers in their own lives posing for similar photo sessions with their daughters, while other people just couldn’t get over how adorable the pair looked. One commenter wrote: “Only a man who knows who he is would do something like that! a Real man!”

Now the pictures, taken by photographer Jenn Floyd, are going viral and ᴡᴀʀᴍɪɴɢ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛs across the country. And Fields hopes it will show fellow dads that “it’s okay for a manly man to put on a tutu and play with his daughter.” He added: “It’s for them, live in the moment and and cherish it and make memories. It’s okay for a manly-man to put on a tutu and play and interact with his daughter, it doesn’t make you less of a man. And if anybody thinks that about me, I really don’t care. I did it for Lyla.”
